Live Events: Event: Machines Recover Neurophyte

MACHINE WIN - METHOD

Human operative Neurophyte stabilized.

Agent Pace:

Attention: Machine Operatives.

Approximately forty-eight hours ago, the human operative known as “Neurophyte” was rescued from an undisclosed location in the outskirts of 01. “Neurophyte”, more properly known as Anne Simpson, was on a mission of dubious legality. Operatives working for the Machine Civilization performed efficiently to secure her extraction. It was discovered that she had integrated specific bits of code into her neural functions. After careful examination, it was apparent that it would be impossible to extract this code without destroying her.

Because of her humanity, it was determined that her fate would be decided by other humans. The Machine Civilization believes in working with its human partners with continued trust in the routine operations of the Matrix. This choice is one example.

Feedback sent to Agent Thorne decided what course of action would be taken. Twenty hours ago, a procedure was performed to fully integrate the data she had recovered into her mind. Specialized programs, during the integration process, also invested themselves into her mind, augmenting her abilities considerably. The original killcode will no longer be a danger to her.

This procedure has made it impossible for the killcode to be recovered for use by others. The integrated code in Miss Simpson is of unknown efficacy, and may cause unusual, but essentially harmless, side effects.

Neurophyte is currently undergoing counseling to repair the psychological damage done by her ordeal. She has clearly expressed to us her gratitude and her will to remain in 01. She wishes us to extend her thanks to all those who aided her through this, and looks forward to working with you in the future.
