News: Aether's Community Uplink

Question of the Week:

We asked for your questions, and you responded! This week's question comes from Leangle.

Leangle asks:
"Why do Agents appear when you stay in a mission area for too long?"

Agent Gray Responds:

"The number of redpills invading the Matrix has risen prodigiously since the incident. You humans seem to believe that the& agreement, gives you permission to roam far and wide across the system, stomping to and fro, heedless of the consequences.

There are always consequences.

Systems have resources. Those resources can be strained. Sufficient strain can cause a system to collapse. Do you have any concept of the stress caused to the Matrix by a redpill? I thought not. The Matrix cannot support an infinite number of you, and we will do what is necessary to protect the system.

While we have agreed to permit your intrusions for certain activities in certain areas, we are not obligated to stand by while you malinger without purpose, causing a needless waste of resources. If you have nothing more to do after your mission is accomplished, we will assist you in finding the motivation to... move along."
